“Tap Tap” literally meaning “quick quick”, are brightly painted vehicles that serve as share taxis in Haiti. These buses are often painted with religious names, slogans, portraits of famous people, and feature intricate, hand-cut wooden window covers. They are privately owned and follow fixed routes in which they do not leave until filled with passengers, and riders can disembark at any point in the journey.
The Tap Tap Craft Beer Festival began in 2015 as an event to support the amazing children of the Maison Fortune Orphanage in Haiti. This annual festival features craft breweries, local food trucks, vendors, and musical entertainment. To learn more about the Foundation and its’ mission please visit the MFO Foundation website.
